Katharine Turner Mays http://katharineTurnerMays.com  b.1964 is a British American artist who currently lives in Texas.

Katharine aims to transmit the ephemeral in her work.

Transformation occurs when gazing beyond the obvious.

Katharine began painting in oil at nine, mentored by her grandfather.

She also studied with Dr.David Cranswick in London from 1997-2000. Dr. Cranswick was a student of Cecil Collins.

From 2000 to 2008 Katharine exclusively painted with burnt umber and white.

From 2008 to 2018 just phthalow blue and white.

In 2018 she introduced colour.

Katharine has exhibited in London, Australia and North America including ‘Fifteen Heads of Christ’ a solo show, River Bend Church Art Gallery, Austin.

Three of her paintings have shown in the Diocese of Austin Fine Arts Gallery.
